US WEBCAST – Gold, copper end week with a whimper

Copper prices set fresh lows this morning after poor Chinese data raised questions over the country’s demand heading into mating season. The combination of weak data and a multi-month high dollar was enough to lead to a broad-based commodities exit. Though gold initially benefitted from questions over the global economic health, the Federal Reserve’s hawkish September meeting minutes extinguished any chance of a rally.
